I’ll be in Boston from September 17th to 20th, and I’d love to meet up if you're in the area! How about an evening filled with great food, wine, and bookish conversation? I’d like to get a group together to explore a local bookshop (if you’re from Boston, I’d love your recommendations), followed by a literary dinner where we can discuss the books that inspire and move us. If you’re interested, reply to this email and I’ll make the arrangements.
Until next week, read slowly – take notes – apply the ideas.

Book Recommendation
In Praise of Idleness by Bertrand Russell
This week, I'm recommending Bertrand Russell's In Praise of Idleness. Russell challenges the idea that constant work is the key to a meaningful life, arguing instead for the value of leisure, rest, and thoughtful reflection. In a world that glorifies busyness, the essay offers a refreshing perspective on why we should reclaim our time for thinking and simply being.
As you read, take your time with the essay. Russell’s writing is clear but packed with ideas that you'll want to chew on. Consider how his arguments apply to your own life—especially the balance between work and free time. This book is best read slowly, with pauses to think about how we can integrate more idleness into our own lives.
This book will be available from Edgewater Bookstore when I open doors on Oct 23rd.
In this episode, I'll explore why so many of us feel anxious when faced with a new journal. We'll discuss the common reasons behind this anxiety and share practical tips on how to overcome it. By the end, you'll see that this feeling is perfectly normal and learn ways to make your journaling experience more enjoyable and productive.
The first batch of books for my new bookstore has just come in! I’ve started acquiring inventory and can’t wait to show you all the collection. Edgewater Bookstore launches Oct. 23rd.
Sometimes it's nice to have a quiet space full of friends who love to read. Our private reading community is a great way to attend live events, meet other readers, and learn new ideas.
